This Privacy Policy explains how Ledgerly (“we”, “our”, “the app”), operated by GofTech Solutions, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our cashbook and expense-tracking mobile application and related services.
By using Ledgerly, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the app:
- Account information — your name, email address, phone number and a securely hashed password when you create an account.
- Business & financial data you enter — businesses, books, transactions (cash in / cash out amounts, notes), contacts, categories, payment modes and any receipt images or documents you attach.
- Team data — when you invite people to a book, we store their membership and permission level for that book.
- Technical data — basic device and log information needed to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service.
2. How we use your information
- To provide core features: record entries, calculate balances, generate reports and PDF statements.
- To sync your data to your account and, if you enable it, to back it up.
- To authenticate you, keep your account secure and prevent abuse.
- To respond to your support requests and improve the app.
3. Google Drive backup & Google Sign-In
If you choose to back up your data, Ledgerly uses Google Sign-In and stores an encrypted backup file in your own Google Drive. We only request the minimum Drive permission needed to create and restore your backup. We do not read other files in your Drive. You can disconnect and delete backups at any time.
4. How your data is stored & secured
- Passwords are stored only as salted hashes — never in plain text.
- Data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
- You can add an in-app PIN or biometric lock and a “hide amounts” privacy mode for extra protection on your device.
5. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal or financial data. Your data is visible only to you and to the team members you personally invite to a specific book (limited to that book, at the permission level you choose). We may share data only where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
6. Data retention & deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app (Profile → Delete Account) or by request.
7. Children’s privacy
Ledgerly is intended for business owners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
